DARICE M. COLLINS

For the past 24 years, Darice M. Collins has litigated both general and complex civil litigation cases in various jurisdictions, including bodily injury and property damage defense, employment defense, and construction defect.

Darice understands the importance of early investigation and evaluation of cases to ensure that each case is properly and efficiently prepared for expedient resolution, whether through pre-trial settlement, arbitration, or trial.

Prior to and during her first year of law school, Darice obtained insurance defense expertise as a claim specialist for a national property & casualty insurer. In her first 6 years of practice, Darice represented both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation involving employment discrimination, bankruptcy, medical malpractice, personal injury, and contract disputes in Texas and Arizona. In Arizona, Darice expanded her litigation expertise with a boutique law firm, representing corporations including transportation companies, homebuilders, water filtration, and plumbing corporations, defending them in personal injury, products liability litigation in arbitration, and small trials. In the Northern Virginia/Metropolitan D.C. area, Darice returned to employment litigation where she practiced with a large law firm representing clients ranging from local government entities, small businesses to multi-national corporations, in administrative law hearings and litigation in state and federal courts.

Over the past 12 years in Orange County, California, Darice has continued to practice in insurance and employment defense litigation, defending policyholders/insureds as in-house counsel for two property & casualty insurers, as well as in private practice with two large, multi-state law firms, working primarily on cases involving personal injuries ranging from minor to catastrophic injuries.
