
KELLY KENNEY
Position:
AssociateKelley Kenney is an Associate with Macdonald & Cody, LLP. Kelly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economic and Social Studies from Trinity College, in Dublin, Ireland. After returning to the U.S., she earned her Juris Doctorate from Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law.
Before attending law school, Kelly worked as a Communications and Social Media intern at Amnesty International Ireland.
During law school, Kelly explored various practices of law including children’s advocacy, criminal defense, in-house counsel, and criminal prosecution. During her year as a law clerk at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Kelly argued over 35 motions and preliminary hearings for the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit, Central Justice Center Unit, and Recidivism Reduction Unit. At Chapman, she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Mediation.
After graduation, Kelly joined Macdonald & Cody, LLP as a post-bar law clerk and is excited to continue her work with the firm as an Associate. She has a passion for litigation and serving clients in the most efficient and effective manner.
Kelly has a passion for the outdoors, and in her free time she can be found exploring the local trails as an avid hiker and trail runner. She also serves as part of the leadership team at OUTrun, an organization that works to bring inclusion and diversity to the running world.
