AssociateKarissa Miskell is a recent USF Law graduate with a passion for litigation.
Karissa spent her 1L summer working as a law clerk for a plaintiff’s litigation firm in Millbrae, California. While there, she learned the importance of discovery in the litigation process. She worked closely with individual clients in a professional and personable manner to help develop their cases through discovery.
While in her second year of law school, Karissa was a member of USF’s Moot Court Competition Team. Her team competed in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition in San Francisco, California.
Karissa spent her 2L summer working as a law clerk for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, where she drafted opposition motions and argued motions before the Court. Her strong attention to detail helped her to identify, analyze, argue, and write about complex legal issues. Karissa obtained her Juris Doctorate degree in May 2018 from the University of San Francisco School of Law and has been working for Macdonald & Cody since October 2018.
