Joshua is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he obtained invaluable legal skills and experience.
In 2018, Joshua worked as a Summer Clerk for the Honorable Gregory P. McGuire on the North Carolina Business Court in Raleigh, NC. During his time with the Business Court, Joshua reviewed pleadings and motions, drafted judicial orders, and attended hearings and trials. He worked on dozens of complex business disputes, and ultimately gained experience in every stage of civil litigation from the initial complaint to the jury verdict or settlement.
Joshua also spent a semester working in house for the UNC Office of University Counsel, where he conducted legal research, drafted legal memos, and served on a GDPR regulatory compliance task force. Joshua spent the following semester in house with the UNC System Office, where he worked on a variety of projects related to discovery disputes, employment law, and education law.
Joshua had several unique academic opportunities during his time at UNC Law. In 2018, his note was published by the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal, on which he served as both a staff member and an articles and notes editor. In addition, Joshua worked as a Research Assistant for Professor William P. Marshall, one of the nation’s leading First Amendment legal scholars.
