CHRISTINA GUTIERREZ

Christina Gutierrez is an Associate with Macdonald & Cody, LLP. She received her bachelor’s degree with honors in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. After spending two years working as a legal assistant for a criminal defense attorney in San Diego, California, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Western State College of Law.

During law school, Christina participated in extracurricular activities as a Vice President for the Latino Student Bar Association and American Bar Association Representative. She spent her last year of law school as a member of the mock trial team where she represented defense in both criminal and civil competitions.

In addition, she received a Witkin award for being recognized as receiving the highest grade in Evidence Practice. She graduated from law school with a certificate in Criminal Law Practice and certificate of Exemplary Public Service for her clerkship at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

After graduation, Christina practiced workers’ compensation defense where she quickly learned the importance of zealous advocacy and conducted numerous depositions defending multiple insurance companies.

She has a passion for defense litigation and understands firsthand the complexity of legal matters and the importance of having an attorney by your side.

Christina enjoys a good bingeworthy show, staying fit, traveling, and anything related to food.
